Far, far away …. but still friends
Instant messaging (or E-Mailing, if you consider it as instant messaging) is such a great way to keep in touch with friends.
Just fire up your favourite IM Client (Check out Trillian) and you can “talk” to people regardless if they are sitting next door or somewhere else on the globe.
Some years ago I went to London for some time and I had the great chance to get to know to some very nice people. Time went by and very soon we had to say “Good bye” to each other.
As soon as you are at home again you lose contact. That is not bad at all - It is just normal that you have to care about other things when at home than when you are somewhere else. This is, I think, not only true for me.
Every once in a while I feel that I have to keep in touch with this people I know quite good (and some I have not seen at all). This is the moment when I go through my contact list in Trillian to see who I could talk to. This is how I try to keep up with what happens to friends all over the world.
I would like to say “Thank you” for being friends
